NAPERVILLE — (March 3, 2017) Premier Event Management (PEM), a leading endurance sport event producer and organizer, is pleased to welcome IRONMAN World Champion Mirinda Carfrae as its featured guest speaker to kick off the 2017 Naperville Women’s Half Marathon & 5K presented by Naperville Running Company hosted by North Central College.
In only its second year this emerging national running event held every April in Naperville, Illinois has thus far attracted in 2016 acclaimed speaker and famous marathon trailblazer Kathrine Switzer, and now in 2017, 3x IRONMAN World Champion and Australian Professional Triathlete, Mirinda Carfrae.
“I’m really excited to be a part of the all women’s running weekend in Naperville,” said Carfrae. The race organization is top notch and I’m excited to share my experiences as a runner and world class triathlete with a new group athletes. Maybe I can inspire a new runner to try triathlon!
The limited seating speaking engagement is free and open to the public, and will take place on the campus of North Central College at the Wentz Concert Hall beginning at 6:00p.m. on Friday, April 21. Carfrae will discuss her IRONMAN World Championship success as well as her course record marathon of 2:50.26, to follow with a Q & A, photo and autograph session. REGISTER

About Mirinda Carfrae
Mirinda Carfrae is an Australian professional triathlete and 3x IRONMAN World champion. Carfrae’s consistency at the IRONMAN World Championships include the following: three gold (2010, 2013, 2014), two silver (2009 and 2011), and a bronze (2012). Carfrae holds the course record (8:52:14, set in 2013). Her world championship win at the 2007 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships qualified her for her 2009 IRONMAN debut where she set a new run course record for the marathon of 2:56:51.
